Writer’s Workshop Offered At Library

Rockbridge Regional Library invites writers to attend a writer’s workshop on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6 p.m. in the Piovano Room.

The workshop is held on the third Thursday every month and is led by local author David Simms. He will lead writers to develop ideas and stories, and will guide constructive critique and feedback.

Simms has broad life experience, not only as an author, but as a musician, teacher, and behaviorist/therapist. As a member of the bands Killer Thriller and Slushpile, he performs with other well-known authors such as Heather Graham, John Lescroart, Michael Palmer, David Morell and F. Paul Wilson. Simms has published several books, including “Fear the Reaper,” a fictional story set in the old Western State Hospital in Staunton. He currently teaches at Rockbridge County High School.
