Writer’s Workshop Continues Tuesday

Rockbridge Regional Library is inviting writers to come to its monthly writer’s workshop on Jan. 21 at 6 p.m. in the Piovano Room.

This program will be led by local author David Simms, as he guides writers through dialogue activities to help encourage effective communication between two characters, improve reader engagement and the creative language production by the author.

Simms, who teaches at Rockbridge County High School, has broad life experience, not only as an author, but as a musician, teacher, and behaviorist/therapist. As a member of the bands Killer Thriller and Slushpile, he performs with other well-known authors such as Heather Graham, John Lescroart, Michael Palmer, David Morell and F. Paul Wilson. Simms has published several books including “Fear the Reaper,” a fictional story set in the old Western State Hospital in Staunton.
