Elisabeth Gilbert, assistant professor of business administration at Washington and Lee University, was awarded $3,000 from the 2019 Mary L. Tenopyr SIOP Graduate Student Scholarship earlier this year.

As a recipient of this award, Gilbert was recognized at the 2019 SIOP Annual Conference at the National Harbor in Fort Washington, Md., in April. The award was based on Gilbert’s dissertation “The trickle-down effects of constructive deviance.”

In addition, one of Gilbert’s previously coauthored articles received an award at the Academy of Management’s annual meeting in August. “Dropped on the way to the top: Gender and managerial derailment,” published in Personnel Psychology, won the 2017 Best Article Award.
