Tommy Edward Floyd, 69, of Lexington died July 8

Tommy Edward Floyd, 69, of Lexington passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

Born Feb. 27, 1950, in Rockbridge County, he was a son of the late Charles Willard Floyd and Eva Cooper Floyd.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his lifelong partner, Darlene Hostetter; a son, Shawn Floyd; two brothers, Roy (Ronnie) Cooper and Charles Floyd; and half sister, Tammy Gordon.

Surviving are his children, Stacey Hernandez (Justin), Sherri Floyd, Toni Floyd, Tommy (Tooter) Hostetter (Brandy), and Christopher Hostetter (Jaclyn); siblings, Tracy Floyd and Everett Cooper; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Saturday, July 13, at Harrison Funeral Chapel with Ken Schwalje officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Judes Children's Research Hospital, P.O. Box 50, Memphis, TN 38101.
