Three Transported To Hospital After Car Crashes Into Bank

Monday - A woman drove her car into the SunTrust Bank at Hunter Hill this afternoon, resulting in at least three injured.

Around 3:30 p.m., the driver drove completely through the front entrance of the bank into the building. 

A Fairfield EMS worker told the News-Gazette their team transported two victims of the crash for medical care. Lexington Fire and Rescue also transported a victim with injuries. The passenger in the vehicle sustained minor injuries and the driver was unharmed.

Around 4:30, three uninjured individuals were released from the bank once the car was towed from the building. 

Lexington and Rockbridge County Fire and Rescue teams responded to the scene, along with Lexington police, Rockbridge County deputies and Virginia State Police.

Dominion Energy and Lee Hi Towing were present to assist with the accident.
