Talmadge Mackey Fix of
He was born on Aug. 20, 1954, in
Talmadge was the owner of Cherrywood Shop, creating beautiful one-of-a-kind cabinets, crafts, and furniture. His handcrafted works are in homes and historic places locally and other places on the East Coast. He took much pride in all that he created.
He was a lifelong member of Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church.
In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother and his wife, J. DeWitt and Bonnie Fix; a sister and her husband, Ann and David Lee Runkle; two nieces, Sarah and her husband Blake Hockman, and Wittnie and her husband Adam Mason; two nephews, David Andrew Runkle and Matthew DeWitt Fix; five great-nephews and two great-nieces. He is also survived by two special friends, Randy Huffman and Jeff Rabe.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 17, at 2 p.m. at the Timber Ridge A.R. Presbyterian Cemetery with the Rev. Radar Ogden, a classmate and friend from high school, officiating.
Memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice in Talmadge's honor.
