A large crowd turned out on the streets of downtown Lexington Monday for the Martin Luther King Jr. Day “Stand Up for Justice, Love, and Equality” event.

The socially distanced event, designed to respond to persistently high levels of COVID-19 infection in the area, replaced the annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Parade. The event was sponsored by the Community Anti-Racism Effort of Rockbridge (CARE).
