Shirley Southers Clark, 80, of Vesuvius died June 22

 

Shirley Southers Clark, 80, of Vesuvius died Wednesday, June 22, 2022, at CarilionRoanokeMemorialHospital.

Born Nov. 29, 1941, in Lexington, she was a daughter of the late Lloyd Love Southers and Sadie Mae Chittum Southers.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Southers and Paul Southers; and two sisters, Mattie Comstock and Marie Hostetter.

Shirley was a member of the Fireball Chapel and retired from Rockbridge County Schools as a cafeteria manager.

Surviving are her husband, Curtis F. Clark; and siblings, Fonzy Southers (Isabelle), David Southers (Jane), Carolyn Lawson (Anthony) and John Southers (Harper).

A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, June 25, at IrishCreekCemetery by the Rev. W. David Bain.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
