Rosa Burch Bradley, 94, of Amherst, went home to be with the Lord on Dec. 2, 2022.

Rosa was born in Amherst County on May 16, 1928, one of eight children of the late Tallie and Allie Burch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Robert Lewis “Bobby” Bradley; sister, Lorene; and brothers, Edward and David.

She was a member of Oronoco Church of the Brethren, serving as a teacher, board member and treasurer for many years. Rosa was a charter member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Pedlar Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad as well as a member of Pleasant Vista Garden Club.

She retired from Central Fidelity Bank as vice president and manager of the Natural Bridge Branch. Most of all, she enjoyed her family and grandchildren and great-grandchildren, bowling and fishing. 

Rosa is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Lewis Bradley; her children, Arnold Bradley (Patricia), Kaye Haas (Bob), and Keith Bradley (Cheryl); daughter-in-law, Denise Bradley (Bobby); nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; her brothers, McKinley Burch and Emory Burch; her sisters, Rachel Roakes and Jean Argabright; and her beloved niece, Janice Browning, whom Rosa thought of as a daughter. 

A funeral will be conducted at noon, Tuesday, Dec. 6, at Oronoco Church of the Brethren, 7742 Lexington Turnpike, Vesuvius, with Pastor Arnold Bradley officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service beginning at 10 a.m.
