Robert “Bob” Kerwood Giroux, 86, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2020.

He moved to Buena Vista in October 1950 from Sturgeon Falls, Ontario, Canada. Bob was drafted and served in the Korean War during which time he became a naturalized citizen. After his parents moved back to Canada in 1961, he relocated to the Richmond area where he worked for Allied Signal Co. for over 30 years.

He is survived by his exwife and best friend, Cynthia Giroux; three daughters, three granddaughters, one grandson, great-grandchildren and two sisters, Shirley Cross and Marian Stier, as well as many nephews and nieces.

Bob’s greatest sports passion in life was ice hockey. Even though he moved to the United States, he never abandoned his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs.
