Wednesday, Sept. 23 – The Rockbridge Area Recreation Organization will be hosting a six-week Speed and Agility Clinic on Mondays from 4-5:15 p.m., starting next Monday, Oct. 5 at the Brewbaker Field Sports Complex and the Lexington Municipal Pool.

The clinic will start at Brewbaker Field, putting the kids through an instructional workout consisting of a dynamic warmup, agility ladders and an introduction to plyometric (jumping) drills. After that, the kids will go up to the outdoor pool, where RARO Board member Leslie Ayers and her pool staff will be leading the kids through a structured pool workout. Kids are encouraged to wear pool-appropriate attire under their clothes so they can quickly be ready to get into the pool when we get up there.

This clinic is open to kids ages 10-13. As with our other clinics, RARO will be observing social distancing whenever possible, and all the instructors will be wearing masks for the safety of the kids and themselves. Because RARO only has the resources to accommodate 20 kids for this session, RARO asks that those who plan on attending or have questions please contact Brian Smith in the RARO office at bsmith@rarorec.org or at 463-9525. The signup process will be a first come, first serve.
