50 Years AgoSept.20,1972An effort to preserve the J.H.C. Mann Bridge over the Maury River on Va. 631 was launched on the state level with local support. Plans for a replacement bridge would not spell the end for the 1912 bridge, which was nominated for inclusion on the Virginia Landmark Register.
