Natural Bridge

LeVonne Flint, 291-2354

Members of Natural Bridge Baptist Church were invited to Daleville Baptist Church on Sunday, March 15, to attend the ordination service for Mason Jordan who has been called as pastor of Natural Bridge Baptist Church. The Rev. Wes Belcher gave the welcome and also led the charge to our church. Gary Kingry and Don Cockes represented the SBCV.

The Rev. Ira Waller of Bassett (who was Jordan’s pastor as a young man) gave the charge to the candidate. Daleville graciously hosted a dinner at the conclusion of the service.

Out-of-town family who attended the service at Daleville were Sandy Salyer (mother), Skye Fultz (daughter), Tristen Fultz (son-in-law) and Kai Fultz (grandson), all from Coeburn.

Local family that attended were Bridgett Jordan (wife) and daughters Kinzleigh Hill and Rylee Jordan from Buchanan.

We have a lot of sickness in the community but thankfully no cases of coronavirus have been reported. Let us all do our part and stay in, be healthy and keep a positive attitude.

R.C. Flint has been a recent patient at the VA hospital in Salem and is now home.

We will miss Joe Manspile and Gene Perkins who recently passed away. We send our sympathies to both of their families.
