Mildred Tyree Snider, 92, of Rockbridge Baths died Aug. 23

Mildred Tyree Snider, 92 of Rockbridge Baths died Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2022, in Heritage Hall.

Born June 6, 1930, in Rockbridge County, she was a daughter of the late Homer Leonidas Tyree and Virgie Ellen Sweet Tyree.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Morrison Snider; one brother and five sisters.

Mildred was a life member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church and served as a treasurer for many years, a bookkeeper for Blue Ridge Warehouse and retired as a clerk with the U.S. Postal Service.

Surviving are her daughter; Amy Ellen Snider, and her sister, Bettie Jo Tyree Cash.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 25, at Ebenezer United Methodist Cemetery by the Rev. William Bearden officiating.
