MARY PAGE STINNETT

Mary Page Shewey Stinnett, 81, of Lexington, passed away Monday, Aug. 22, 2022.

Born July 10, 1941, in Rockbridge County, she was the daughter of the late David Shewey and Caroline Clements

Mary Page was a lifelong member of St. John’s United Methodist Church. She taught English for 24 ½ years at Parry McCluer High School.

She was preceded in death by sister, Betty S. Glass.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Ollie Lee Stinnett Jr.; children, Sarah S. Dyer (John), Rebecca Pearce (Dennis), John E. Stinnett (Deborah), and Daniel S. Stinnett; grandchildren, Dustin C. Dyer (Ragan), Marcus T. Dyer, Hayden L. Dyer (Colby), Kristen P. Cleary (Dustin), Taylor Rudolph (Rudy), Riley Howell, Kyley S. Stinnett, and Kinsley O. Stinnett; great-grandchildren, Caroline B. Dyer, Lelia S. Dyer, and Page Dyer; sister, Martha C. Shewey; and brother, John Kyle Shewey (Alice).

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. today, Wednesday, Aug. 24, at St. John’s United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Louis Caddell officiating.
