Today is Ash Wednesday, and the Clarks have put together a resource for you to spend time in prayer and reflection as we begin the season of Lent.

Next Sunday during our Zoom fellowship gathering at 11 a.m., New Monmouth Presbyterian Church will celebrate communion. Have your bread (crackers) and juice ready. We will also have a short congregational meeting to elect a trustee.

This week’s Bible readings are: 1 Peter chapter 5, Genesis 28-36, and Psalm 21-25.

Tuesday is prayer meeting in the fellowship hall at 7 a.m.

The Young at Heart Sunday school class will be reading and studying Jemar Tisby’s book “How to Fight Racism.” He encourages the church in our unique role as ambassadors of God’s Kingdom and Justice. For more information, contact Rachel Clark.

We are grateful for everyone who led music and helped with the service this week. Thank you, Calvin, for the trumpet prelude! “Holy, Holy, Holy” is a favorite hymn of many!

Thank you to Ray and Joann Blouin and Tim Hodges for sharing the songs “10,000 Reasons” and for “Lord I Lift Your Name on High.”
