Jerry Mays Jr., 47, of Buena Vista died May 9

Jerry Bryant Mays Jr., 47, of Buena Vista, went home to his heavenly home Monday, May 9, 2022.

Born in Rockbridge County March 16, 1975, he was the son of Patricia G. Mays and the late Jerry B. Mays Sr.

Jerry lived his life 0 to 60 in ten seconds until he couldn’t.  Our love never wavered for him and his memory will be cherished until we meet again.  A plumber by trade, he still helped out anybody he could when he was able.

He was preceded in death by his sweet Daddy, uncle, and grandparents.

In addition to his mother, he is survived his brother, Greg Mays; his sisters, Cheryl, Alishia (Chason), and Summer; his two children, whom he loved immeasurably, Claire Mays and Jerry B. Mays III; his fiancée, Tammy Emore; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends, and many others too numerous to mention.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, May 13, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Galen Combs and Rev. W. David Bain officiating.  Burial will follow at the Green Hill Mausoleum.
