Jerry Edward Kelly, 78, of Lexington died Monday, Nov. 16, 2020, at his home. 

He was born Sept. 7, 1942, in Buchanan, a son of the late William Edward Kelly and Sadie Arbutus McCulloch Kelly.

Jerry was a member of the Redeeming Life Church and retired as a master sergeant with the United States Air Force.  He later worked in the maintenance department of the Rockbridge County Schools.

Surviving are his wife, Sevilla Basco Kelly; children, David A. Kelly of Charlottesville, Chris Ann Kelly of New York City, Michael E. Kelly of Lexington and Sherry Yarbrough of Las Cruces, N.M.; and grandchildren Madeleine Kelly and Morgan Kelly.

A memorial service was conducted Friday, Nov. 20, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by Jerry Roscoe and Pastor Roger Smith.  Burial will be held at a later date in Arlington National Cemetery.

The family suggests contributions may be given to the Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
