Hull’s Drive-in Makes Martha Stewart List

Hull’s Drive-In has been recognized by Martha Stewart as one of the best drive-in movie theaters in America.

In an article by Zee Krstic published on Stewart’s lifestyle website, Hull’s cracked the national Top 10 list of “nostalgic theaters where you can catch both classics and exciting new films beneath the stars.”

Executive Director of Hull’s Drive-In Lauren Summers called the recognition “very exciting.”

Summers said she learned of the news while scrolling through Facebook. Much to her surprise, Hull’s was listed as No. 4 on the national list. Krstic’s article described Hull’s opening in 1957, closing in 1998, and Hull’s Angels efforts to bring the theater back in 2001. The article cited Hull’s as America’s only non-profit community-owned drive-in existing today.

“We’ve had a very good season,” Summers said of 2019. “The good weather has helped!”
