High Bridge

Worshippers at High Bridge Presbyterian Church welcomed their new interim pastor, the Rev. Dr. Amy Fetterman, at Easter Sunday morning worship service.

Services were held in and around the church pavilion where all COVID-19 procedures could be followed. Several family members from out of town were in attendance including the Armentrouts, Brafords, and Penningtons, along with several other folks that I missed getting their names. Also attending were Zoe Jones of Swoope and Rita Watkins of Staunton. Zoe and Rita are granddaughters of the late Sandy and Anna Shaner who made their home on Plank Road.

Deacons and several members helped recently for the March clean-up of church grounds.

Presbyterian Women’s evening Bible study will be in the fellowship hall at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 7. The women’s afternoon Bible study group will meet Tuesday, April 13, at 1 p.m.

The Natural Bridge/ Glasgow food pantry will be open Saturday, April 10, from 9 to 11 a.m. We continue to follow all COVID-19 rules to ensure the safety of our volunteers and each family receiving a box of groceries. Boxes are packed and ready for distribution and when needed delivered to your car.
