Worship service at High Bridge Presbyterian Church continues each Sunday at 11 a.m. Vesper services continue this Wednesday at 7 p.m. High Bridge resumes Sunday school classes Sunday, Sept. 13, with most classes by Zoom except the adult Bible Study. High Bridge will receive the monthly food pantry offering Sunday, Sept. 13.

High Bridge mourns the passing of the Rev. Dr. Louis Skidmore. Rev. Skidmore passed away Thursday, Sept. 3. He served our church in so many ways and was our supply pastor from 2006 through 2008. I will report more next week on the life of Rev. Skidmore.

Visitors of Catherine Kessinger during the Labor Day week were her grandchildren Harmon, Sophie and Brandon Kessinger of Pittsburg, Pa., and grandson and family Jeremy, Betsy, Blake and Jackson Kessinger of Duncan, S.C.

Visitors for the Labor Day weekend at the home of Lloyd and Esther Pennington were their daughter Dianne Rakes and granddaughter Chelsea Henderson of Salem and son Mark Pennington of Martinsburg, W.Va.

The Presbyterian Women’s circle Bible studies have resumed and will be meeting each month in the fellowship room in the educational building following all guideline for COVID-19 by wearing masks and social distancing.

The Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held Sunday, Sept. 13, beginning at noon. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert for $8. The dinners are available carryout only.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry distribution day will be Saturday, Sept. 12, from 9 to 11 a.m. Safety precautions are taken by the volunteers. We have boxes packed and ready to be delivered to your car.
