High Bridge Presbyterian Church is pleased to announce that barring a spike in COVID-19 cases in our area, we will resume public worship on July 5. We will follow all guidelines we set in place. Our online worship format will continue even after COVID-19 departs.

The Reopening Task Force recommended and session approved an outdoor vespers service beginning Wednesday, June 24, at 7 p.m. The vespers service will be located in the field next to our picnic pavilion. We ask everyone to practice physical distancing and please wear a face mask. You are encouraged to bring a blanket or lawn chairs for this 20-to-30-minute service. We hope to hold this service every Wednesday throughout the summer.

Sympathy is extended to the families of Nancy Stoner Montgomery who passed away May 19, in her home town in Chesterfield where she had lived since 1964. Nancy grew up in the Natural Bridge Station area, attended Natural Bridge High School, and her parents were Mary Mitchell and Willie Stoner.

She is survived by her husband, George, and son, Todd, and sister Francis Chittum and brother and wife John Lee and Ruth Stoner. A celebration of life event will be held for family and friends at a future time when the pandemic has run its course.

The Natural Bridge Volunteer Fire Department barbecue chicken dinner fundraiser was a big success and they wish to thank all who came out and purchased food and raffle tickets.

The Natural Bridge/Glasgow food pantry distribution day will be Saturday, June 27, from 9 to 11 a.m. This pantry continues to serve the public and safety precautions will be taken by the volunteers when dealing with the public. We have boxes packed and ready to be delivered to your car.
