HARRY “SAM” TOMLINSON II

Harry Strickler “Sam” Tomlinson II, 66, of Roanoke died Monday, May 2, 2022.

Born July 2, 1955, in Lexington, he was a son of the late Harry Strickler Tomlinson Sr. and Noreen Susan Thomas Tomlinson.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Major Alvis Tomlinson, on April 20, 2022, and a half-brother, Robert E. Tomlinson.

Harry was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and worked for 23 years for the Red Cross hospital services.

Surviving are his siblings, Katherine Taylor (AJ), a special sister and caregiver Thresa Moore (Wayne), and Stephen Tomlinson (Bernice); and numerous nieces and nephews.

A funeral was conducted Tuesday, May 10, at Harrison Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Joseph Callis. Burial followed at Green Hill Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be given to Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450, or Angels of Assisi, 415 Campbell Ave. SW, Roanoke, VA 24016
