Glasgow's Baldwin Family Topic Of Talk

The Glasgow Library will present “C.C. Baldwin of Balcony Falls and the History of Cottage Farm,” a talk by Ken Gorsky, on Thursday, Jan. 30, at 6 p.m.

The Baldwin family played a prominent role in the history of the Glasgow area. Their home, Cottage Farm, is located on Glasgow Highway outside of Glasgow.

Ken and Denise Gorsky purchased the property in 1998 and ran it as the Cottage Farm Bed and Breakfast for several years. Ken Gorsky is a former marine and retired chief of police. He is an author, stamp collector, amateur astronomer, history buff, train fancier, and daylily enthusiast.

He has published several titles, among them “My Father’s Time aboard USS Brownson Antarctic Expedition of 1946-1947” and two e-books, “Thirteen Months” and “Chrome Domes.”
