Felisa Gaminde Blankenship, 89, of Glasgow died Oct. 28

Felisa Gaminde Blankenship, 89, of Glasgow passed peacefully into the kingdom of God on Oct. 28, 2021. Born on April 27, 1932, in Bartley, W.Va,, she was the daughter of Pedro and Felicitas Uriarte Gaminde.

She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. Jessie Blankenship, and son, Joseph "Joe" Blankenship.

Felisa loved to travel, try new things, spend time with family, study and read her Bible. She was one of the founders of Pentecostal Outreach and helped develop Glasgow TV into what it is today. She was an avid football watcher and supportive Mountaineer fan.

She is survived by her sister, Mary Louise Gaminde; one son, Jessie J. Blankenship II (Allison); one daughter, Julia Duff (Tony); one daughter-in-law, Deborah Blankenship; seven grandchildren, Richard Blankenship, Amy Clark, Darick Blankenship (Sam), Samantha Blankenship, Deborah Jo Blankenship, Caleb and Lydia Raval (JJ); seven great-grandchildren, Riley, Huntley, Bentley, Rylan Blankenship, Jayce Kirby, Bryden Taylor and Emma Clark; and many much loved nieces and nephews.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 3, at Glad Tidings Church by the Rev. Roger Smith. Burial will follow at Glasgow Cemetery.

A visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, at Glad Tidings Church.  Masks will be required unless fully vaccinated.
