Dora "Dean" Wells Floyd, 89, of Glasgow died Friday, June 7, 2019, at her home.

Born March 12, 1930 in Glasgow, she was a daughter of the late Harry Cleveland Wells and Edith Moxley Wells.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Malcolm "Mac" Elmer Floyd; son-in-law, James N. Watts III; brother, Harry "Dickie" Wells; and faithful dogs Honey and Rusty.

Surviving are her daughter, Edith P. Watts; one grandson, Malcolm "Shane" Watts and wife Sarah; and three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Caroline and Jeremiah, all of Glasgow.

At her request, there will be no services.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the wonderful Rockbridge Area Hospice, 315 Myers St., Lexington, VA 24450 or the Glasgow Lifesaving Crew, P.O. Box 421, Glasgow, VA 24555.

Arrangements were by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory, Lexington.
