David Lee Robinson died March 20

David Lee Robinson departed this precious life at his home in Glasgow on March 20, 2020. 

David was born on June 20, 1943, in Appomattox, the son of the late Beatrice Robinson.

He was educated in the Appomattox school system.  David was a studious worker and that he was employed by many companies, because he loved to stay busy.  He worked at Mohawk Industries and Lynchburg Dune Brick for many years.

He is surpassed in death by two aunts, whom he affectionately called Aunt Bert and Aunt Chic; one brother, Thomas Robinson; and one grandson, Joseph Anthony Jackson.

Leaving to cherish his memory are his beautiful wife, Constance (Connie) Fitz Robinson of Glasgow; three daughters, Sherry Williams (Douglas) of Danville, Tonita Rogers, and Breanna Strowbridge, both of Glasgow; three stepdaughters, Benita Fitz, Laura Rosser Thompson (Joseph), and Barbara Rosser, all of Glasgow; one sister, Janice E. Hardman, of Lynchburg; three grandchildren, Clifford A. Strowbridge, of Lexington, Amire Rogers, of Radford, and Elijah T. Rodgers, of Glasgow; nine grandchildren, Cherrielle, Quinn, Cardell, Tia, Joshua, JJ, Quinton, Mariah, and Jayden; two sisters-in-law, Loretta Perkins, of Lynchburg, Joyce  (Elaine) W. Carter and husband, Jesse, of Glasgow; one brother-in-law, Vincent Peterson, of Glasgow; and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
