Dakota “Koda” Reid Wagner, 27, of Fairfield, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022.

He was born June 12, 1995, in Lexington, the son of Shawn T. Wagner (Bobbie) and Krystal Clark (Dean).

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Dusty Noel Sr.

Koda was a proud lineman with Zitel, served in the U.S. Marine Corps and was a 2014 state champion in wrestling for Rockbridge County High School. He coached and competed in power lifting, and while at Ferrum College and in the Marine Corps he was on the wrestling team.

Also surviving are his wife, Katie Wagner, son, Danger R. Wagner; brother, Kaden T. Wagner; sister, Addisyn Clark; grandparents, Regina Noel, Susan and Steven Bryant; Aunt Dawna Camden (Brandon); aunts and uncles, Dusty Jr. (Brittany), Stephanie, Sammie, Stevie, and John; and great uncle, John Lewis (Shelly).

A funeral will be conducted 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 26, at Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Chapel with the Rev. J. Matthew Vaught officiating. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Family requests memorial donations be made to the Rockbridge County High School wrestling team.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
