Courts Update

A Rockbridge County grand jury handed down a total of 138 indictments Monday, Nov. 4, with 46 of them sealed.

The Rockbridge indictments include new charges against Charles Holman, 48, who faces 11 indictments following to the killing of Christina Martin on April 6. Those charges were included in last week’s paper.

Also indicted last week was Shawn R. Galloway, 53, who was indicted on nine counts of distribution and reproduction of child pornography, second or subsequent offense, for an April 9 incident. Galloway was initially arrested on child pornography charges June 28, after the Bedford Internet Crimes Against Children task force partnered with the Rock-bridge County Sheriff’s Office to investigate images that led to Galloway’s IP address. Further charges were initiated against Galloway following his arrest.

Jose Collazo, 30, Jessie J. Fitzgerald, 50, and Michael W. Fitzgerald, 18, were indicted for malicious wounding while being part of a mob in connection to a fight at Macado’s in Lexington March 30. Police responded to reports of a violent fight that evening and found a victim with severe facial injuries. Witnesses identified the suspects to police and the three were later detained for questioning and arrested.

The following additional indictments were handed down last week:

Tucker B. Noel, 26, a single grand larceny charge for theft from the Effinger Fire Department on Dec. 15, 2018.

Franklin D. Camden, 57, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, Aug. 13.

Dylan S. Newell, 23, statutory burglary of a building, grand larceny, grand larceny with intent to sell or distribute, on or between May 6 and May 24; statutory burglary of a building, grand larceny, grand larceny with intent to sell or distribute, May 31.

Bryan F. Ray, 35, three counts of possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance, Nov. 12, 2018.

Jarred C. Mason, 19, intentionally damaging property, May 25.

Selena Carter, 41, petit larceny, third or subsequent offense, March 16.

Carole D. Dalenko, 76, intentionally damaging property, June 3.

Jason C. Payton, 34, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, July 27.

James M. Maxey, 29, eluding police, endangerment, May 27.

Oscar Javier Alarcon Ortiz, 26, driving while intoxicated, third offense in 10 years, June

10.

Dallas J. Ramsey, 19, two counts of attempted grand larceny automobile theft, Aug. 5.

Larry L. Long Jr., 21, two counts of grand larceny with intent to sell or distribute, two counts of grand larceny of a firearm, and two counts of nonviolent felon in possession of a firearm, on or between June 1 and July 28.

Norwood K. Groah, 60, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, Aug. 16.

Ashley M. Turner, 29, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, June 18.

Anthony L. Layne, 25, statutory burglary of a building, grand larceny automobile theft, May 16.

Gregory L. Clark Jr., 31, assault and battery on a law enforcement officer, on or between Aug. 2 and Aug. 3.

Bradley S. Roberts, 47, tamper with evidence with the intent to steal, grand larceny by false pretense, Aug. 12.

Angel M. Cunningham, 38, petit larceny, third or subsequent offense, April 25.

Kyler James Reynolds, 20, two counts of possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance, March 8.

Michael E. Thompson, 31, petit larceny, third or subsequent offense, on or between Feb. 1 and March 6.

Tarik Aziz Shabazz-Allah, 46, three counts of larceny by false pretense, two counts of petit larceny, third or subsequent offense, grand larceny, June 25.

Murray B. Fine, 58, hit and run causing damage greater than $1,000, Aug. 17.

Laurence M. Acord, 37, grand larceny automobile theft, March 5; 2016, remove or alter a vehicle serial identification number, on or between March 5 and Aug. 7, 2016, possession of a vehicle with altered serial identification number, Aug. 7, 2016.

Victoria L. Robinson, 43, possession with intent to distribute a schedule I or II controlled substance, nonviolent felon in possession of a firearm, May 2.

Amy D. Floyd, 34, distribution of a schedule I or II controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, March 11.

Barbara L. Rosser, 50, possession of a stun weapon by a convicted felon, March 12.

Lisa M. Thornton, a.k.a Lisa Day, two counts possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance, Feb. 1.

Anthony L. Layne, petit larceny, May 16.

William F. Plyler, 41, possession of a firearm by a violent felon, July 6.

Michael P. Sonn, 37, buy, receive or conceal stolen property, on or between April 20 and April 22.
