Special thanks are extended to the volunteers, parents and staff members of the Pike Pod students, and to the members of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church for the fun filled Community Easter Egg Hunt hosted by the church on Saturday, April 3. Over 150 adults and children enjoyed games, face painting, and a variety of family friendly activities that included hunting for Easter eggs filled with candy and other fun items. A devotional time and Easter prayer were led by Elaine Higgins and the Rev. Kevin Channell as a part of the afternoon’s activities.

The Easter worship service held at the Collierstown Presbyterian Church featured special music offered by the church and The Pike children. Faye Ford and Kelly Harris offered a vocal duet.

The sacrament of communion was observed during the worship hour.

It is the time of the year to start spring maintenance of the grounds of the Collierstown Presbyterian Church’s cemetery. Please remove all flowers, statuary items, and other decorations from gravesites by April 10 in preparation for the mowing season.

The Collierstown community churches are holding in person Sunday morning worship services at their regular worship hour times. The Baptist and Presbyterian churches are offering a virtual worship experience using Facebook Live or the YouTube channel. The wearing of masks and social distancing are expected.
