Clyde Branner Tolley, 84, of Lexington died July 5

Clyde Branner Tolley, 84, of Lexington passed away at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital on July 5, 2021, 24 days after the passing of his wife of 25 years, Alice Tolley.

He was the son of the late Clyde D. Tolley and Ellen Armentrout Tolley.  Branner was born on Nov. 30, 1936, in the same home where he lived all of his life.

Branner was a lifetime member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Rockbridge Baths where he was a trustee. He proudly served in the National Guard for 25 years.  Branner was a committed farmer, Farm Bureau member, and faithful neighbor.

Surviving are his sister, Fidelia (Larry) Umberger; nephew David (Amy) Umberger; great-nephew and great-niece Branner and Bella Umberger; and stepchildren Edward, Richard and Terri Bsullak and Cyndie Ruggiero.

There will be a graveside service and reception for Branner on Saturday, July 17, at 10 a.m. at Bethesda Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Fred Noll officiating.

Arrangements are by Harrison Funeral Home & Crematory.
