Celebrating King's Legacy

Nearly 400 people filled First Baptist Church for the annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Worship Service Sunday. They enjoyed a variety of musical selections from the Grace Episcopal Church choir from Lexington and the Resurrecting Community Choir from Clifton Forge, as well as the drumming and dancing of the Kuumba Dance Ensemble from Lynchburg, and heard a sermon from the Rev. Dr. Dwight C. Jones of Richmond (above). He spoke on the Book of Esther in a sermon entitled “For Such A Time As This.
