For Campbell

Editor, The News Gazette:

As everyone knows by now, there is a crucial election coming up on Nov. 5 and the choice cannot be more clear.

Ronnie Campbell has delivered:

1. A billion dollar tax relief for Virginia families.

2. A 5 percent teacher pay increase.

3. Opposed the late-term abortion bill.

Let’s vote Campbell on Nov. 5.

PEGGY PAINTER

Natural Bridge

This Nov. 5, I encourage all the citizens of the Natural Bridge District to vote for David McDaniel as our representative on the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors.

David is a native of our district, graduating from Natural Bridge High School, before going to Hampden-Sydney. He returned to our area after graduation and has worked as a financial professional in our community for 20 years.

David has raised his family in our community and has been involved and concerned with the prosperity of our portion of the county his entire professional career.

The Natural Bridge District needs a representative that knows the needs of our district, and has a passion to champion our district. David possesses experience with finances that will be an asset to the Board. He has always been able to build partnership with others and is a results driven leader. As a local banker, he has demonstrated a client focused approach that will serve him well responding to constituent requests.

David McDaniel has served two terms on Glasgow Town Council as well as two terms on Rockbridge County School Board. David has served on the Glasgow Volunteer Fire Department for nearly 15 years and is presently employed by Atlantic Union Bank as a commercial portfolio manager. David is an avid outdoorsman, loves all types of outdoor activities as well as collegiate sports.

I have had the distinct honor and pleasure of knowing David and his family for most of his life and have found him to be a man of his word who cares deeply for his community and those around him.

I strongly feel that David would be a great asset to this community by serving on the Rockbridge County Board of Supervisors. I have always found David to be willing to listen to everyone. Some of the issues that I know that are important to David are economic development (new business and jobs), public education, especially career and technical classes, public safety (EMS, fire, police, etc.), as well as supporting youth sports in the area. I strongly feel that David will listen to what we have to say and will work hard for this community.

Buena Vista

I owned a business for a number of years in the city of Buena Vista and have fed many in the city. I know the City of Buena Vista and I have seen firsthand the problems facing our community.

Daniel is the right person to be Buena Vista’s commonwealth’s attorney. Daniel has great integrity, honesty, and most importantly can relate to us all. Daniel is an excellent attorney and has done well for himself. Daniel moved to the city well before this election, owned a law office here, and has dedicated himself to advocating for our city. I am excited to see the positive change that he can bring to the city.

Daniel has my full support and I ask that you join me in supporting him for Buena Vista commonwealth’s attorney on Nov. 5.

TRACEY ANFINSON

Buena Vista mond, we prevent laws from being written that would legalize late-term abortions, that protect the rights of law-abiding gun owners, that keep taxes and utility bills relatively low … and we protect individual liberty.

I like Virginia the way it is, and don’t want to see it “made new.” Please preserve the conservative values in our part of the state by protecting the Republican majority in the legislature with your vote for Ronnie Campbell and Elliot Harding on Tuesday.
