One message that we have discerned from last week’s local election results is that a clear majority of voters is apparently satisfied with the direction Rockbridge area government officials are taking us. Vocal critics who have found much fault in Rockbridge County’s school system and the decision-making of the Board of Supervisors were unsuccessful in their bids to unseat incumbents.
The passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act by the U.S. House of Representatives last Friday night earned praise from Virginia’s two Democratic senators and a “no” vote from Republican U.S. Rep. Ben Cline of the Sixth District.
