Buena Vista Mayor Bill Fitzgerald did a rare thing for a politician during City Council’s meeting this past Thursday. He offered a public apology for something he’d failed to do at Council’s previous meeting two weeks earlier. He apologized for failing to keep the meeting under control. Specifically, he apologized to two members of city staff for not stepping in and intervening when a couple of citizens berated the staff members in overtly personal terms.
