First Baptist Church in Lexington will recognize and honor those who have battled breast cancer Sunday, Oct. 29, at 11 a.m. with Pastor McKinley Williams bringing the special message and special prayers. Pink ribbons will be distributed to all who attend the service that day.

The summer flowers are holding on for now, but their days are numbered. Neighborhood pools are being closed for the season. Fall is officially here, and I’ve had to move the thermostat to the heat setting.

Thank you to Tim Hodges, Tim Welsh, Deb Jarrett and Alex Slaydon for agreeing to serve on this committee. Session met for their monthly meeting following the congregational meeting. Thanks to Hope Bird for providing lunch. The youths continue to collect used greeting cards to be used for a craft project. Please contact Janeen Welsh if join have any to donate.
