With the theme “Bridging the Gap,” Collierstown Presbyterian Church’s “Souper Bowl of Caring” food drive netted a bridge full of donations Saturday. Twenty-five volunteers, including students from “The Pike” pandemic learning pod based at the church (pictured at right), collected the donations, which lined both sides of the bridge over Colliers Creek and later partially filled the church sanctuary. A total of $1,380 in monetary gifts was also collected and will be divided, along with the donated items, to support three local food pantries - RARA, Helping Hands of Fairfield Presbyterian, and the food pantry of the Gospel Way Church of God in Christ.
