The Rockbridge Regional Library will host the first of two virtual panel discussions centered on the multigenerational experiences related to “The Impact of Educators of Color in Our Community” on Wednesday, Feb. 3, at 6 p.m.
Glasgow Baptist Church was able to hold its Sunday morning services inside this past Sunday. The painting contractors completed the work in the sanctuary in ample time. The service was also broadcast to vehicles in the parking lot, of which there were about 10. Starting Sunday, Jan. 31, the services will be videotaped and can be shared with those who are unable to attend in person.
Dabney S. Lancaster Community College’s division of Workforce Solutions and Community Education is offering a full slate of training courses for in-demand careers in the areas of health care, skilled trades, and transportation this spring. Many are being offered as hybrid courses, with online as well as classroom instruction.

Mylo Gardner, a 7-year-old orange, short-haired tabby cat from Natural Bridge Station, won first place in Virginia and placed 31st overall internationally in the KingPet. com January Pet Contest with 12,947 votes. There were 3,466 contestants. Mylo won a cash prize of $150 and 400 votes in his next contest entry. His human companions, Joshua and Karyn Gardner are very proud of him. The KingPet contest is an online international contest that lets people from all over the world vote for the cutest pet.
