Playground installation weekend is here! Thanks to the generosity and hard work of many at New Monmouth Presbyterian Church and volunteers from the Kerrs Creek Ruritan Club, a new playground for the children will be going in over the next couple weekends. Dabney S. Lancaster Community College held three separate in-person graduation ceremonies on Thursday, Friday and Saturday on the Clifton Forge campus, in an effort to follow social distancing recommendations due to the ongoing COVID- 19 pandemic.
The congregation at the Lexington Church of Christ, located at 522 S. Main St., met on Saturday to put together meals for first responders in the area. About 40 lunch boxes were made and distributed to the Lexington Fire and Rescue, Lexington Police Department and Rockbridge County Sheriff’s Office. Bizzee B’s BBQ donated pulled pork to help with this project. Coleslaw and brownies were from Good Karma.
