Timber Ridge Presbyterian Church’s annual fall festival Saturday – a purely drive-thru event this year – quickly sold out of the apple butter and Brunswick stew that members had cooked and packaged during the week. These photos show some of that work, including (above) Nick Ramsey stirring the stew Friday and (bottom left) McClung Cummins working the apple butter kettle on Tuesday. Shown packaging the stew are (at left) Suzanne Crawford, Betty Ann Ferguson and Kristen Strecker, while shown bottling the apple butter are (below) Suzanne Crawford and Julie Lipscomb. Members produced a total of 325 quarts of apple butter and 239 quarts of stew, with the money going to support area food pantries. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
