Jeremy Wilson is considered a shining light in the trombone world, and he will be bringing that light to the SonoKlect series at Washington and Lee University on Saturday, Feb. 1, at 8 p.m. in Wilson Hall in the Lenfest Center. The concert is free and a reception will follow the performance.
The second annual Community Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1, from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Lylburn Downing Middle School. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. Light refreshments will be provided. Music is by “DJ Master” K.

Dabney S. Lancaster Community College has scheduled a special Alumni Night on Saturday, Feb. 4, for a home basketball game against Appalachian Bible College. Game time is 6:30 pm in the DSLCC Armory on the Clifton Forge campus.
The Dabney S. Lancaster Community College Educational Foundation has over one hundred scholarship opportunities available for the coming year. The online scholarship application is currently open to all current and prospective DSLCC students, and the deadline to apply is Feb. 24.
