Since their students can’t be in the classroom with them this month or participate in their annual holiday program, the teachers, staff and principal at Mountain View Elementary decorated the outside of the school and invited the school’s families to a drive-thru event Friday event dubbed “Long Hollow Lights.” Snow machines dropped snow from the roof while teachers and staff dressed up in a variety of costumes to greet the students and hand out stockings, filled with a hat or pair of gloves, candy, popcorn, hot chocolate packs and – appropriately for this year – a roll of toilet paper. The items were donated by the teachers and staff. (Stephanie Mikels Blevins photos)
