Southern Virginia University Theatre will present the tragic tale of “All My Sons” by Arthur Miller, an emotional and thought-provoking story about the conflicts of family loyalties against social responsibility, on Sept. 23-24, 29-30 at 7:30 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center (formerly known as Chandler Hall). There will be no performance on Saturday, Oct. 1.
Organist William McCorkle will present a Washington and Lee University faculty recital entitled “Bach and Beyond: German Organ Music Across Four Centuries” on Sunday, Sept. 18, at 3 p.m. at Lexington Presbyterian Church.

United Way is sponsoring this year’s Jump On Board event at Devils Backbone on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5 to 7 p.m. The event will give the opportunity for attendees to familiarize themselves with roughly 15 local nonprofits who will have tables set up at the venue.
