Washington and Lee University has been included on the list of U.S. colleges and universities that produced the most 2022-2023 Fulbright U.S. students for the fifth consecutive year.
The Museums at Washington and Lee University are presenting a new exhibit celebrating women ceramicists in Japan who are challenging tradition, breaking barriers and forging new techniques and methods with a clay exhibit that opened to the public on Feb. 1 and will close on April 29.
Lynn Chin, an associate professor of sociology at Washington and Lee University, will present a lecture on March 2 at 5 p.m. in the Stackhouse Theater at the Elrod Commons as part of W&L’s Mudd Center for Ethics’ series on “Beneficence: Practicing and Ethics of Care.”
Virginia Military Institute is welcoming Shaolin kung fu master Heng Yue on Sunday, March 5, at 1 p.m. for a demonstration in Gillis Theater in Marshall Hall, followed by an interactive workshop in the Hall of Valor.
Virginia National Guard Sgt. Lee Shallenberger (center) was presented a Unit Award, after a long deployment to Africa, during a recent ceremony at the Hines Memorial Armory. Retired Maj. Jimmy Poole (left) has sponsored the award for the past 23 years, an award that is unique to Company B, 1-116th Infantry Battalion and is voted on by the soldiers. First Lt.
