Henry “Hank” Graham Snider, Col., Ret., USAF,  89 of Lexington passed away Saturday, July 21, 2018, at Havenwood Manor. 

He was born Dec. 13, 1928, in Lexington, and was the son of Clarence Snider and Lucy Fixx Snider. 

Mr. Snider was a graduate from Lexington High School and Virginia Polytechnic Institute  and served 27 years in the USAF with postings in Japan, Alaska, Hawaii, Korea and Washington D.C.

Preceding him in death were his wife Vivian “Monkey” Hope Snider of Wytheville and by his son Julian H. Snider of Goshen.

Surviving are his son James Howard Snider of Louisa, Carla Snider Fore of Florida and Karen Snider Lyle of Lexington, four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was an active long standing member of Good Shepherd Evangelical Lutheran Church.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 2018, at Good Shepherd.
