Tommy Spencer, Co-Founder of Lime Kiln, Died April 22


Thomas Carlyle Spencer, of Lexington, died Sunday April 22, 2018 at Stonewall Jackson Hospital. Born November 18, 1936 in Lynchburg a son of the late John Kilpen Spencer and Letitia Florence Womeldorf Spencer.

Tommy was a local attorney and operated Spencer Law Firm for many years. He was also co-founder of Lime Kiln Theater.

Surviving are his wife Susan Harb, son Yates Spencer, daughter Beth Spencer and husband Abel Duffy, siblings Edelweiss S. Roberts, of Paris KY, Maxwell Cunningham Spencer, of Winston Salem NC, Alyce Spencer Harrison, of Huddleston, VA, Nancy Kay Spencer Leech, of Lexington, four grandsons: Sam, Gus and Ely Spencer, and Milo Duffy, and nephew Gene Harb.

A celebration of his life will be held at a later date.
