Peggy Cash Hamilton, 77, of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, Dec. 9, 2017, at Virginia Baptist Hospital in Lynchburg.

Born Aug. 14, 1940, in Buena Vista, she was the daughter of the late Sanford and Eva Leighton Cash.

Mrs. Hamilton was a member of Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church for 66 years and loved the Lord. She enjoyed Christian and Gospel music and had a strong faith. Peggy was a very talented lady who enjoyed her ceramics and making jewelry. She also enjoyed cooking meals for her family and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She was also preceded in death by one child, C.B. Camper; two brothers, Buck Cash and Elwood Cash; and three sisters, Rachel Bostic, Helen Blankenship and Betty Montgomery.

Surviving are her loving husband of 52 years, Lewis Wilton Hamilton Sr.; three children, Sherrie C. Walls and husband Robert, Cynthia H. Fauber and husband George, and Lewis W. Hamilton Jr. and wife Kendra; six grandchildren, Chris Golden, Scottie Golden, Brandon Conner, Lacey Conner, Jacob Hamilton and Jessica Hamilton; and five great-grandchildren, Bayleigh Golden, Emma Conner, Iris Conner, Abby Conner and Morgen Harris.

A funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 12, at Buena Vista Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. W. A. Mills Jr., the Rev. W. David Bain, and Nathan Phillips officiating. Burial will follow at Rockbridge Memorial Gardens.

Arrangements are being handled by Bolling, Grose, & Lotts Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
