Lucy T. Turpin, 90, of Lexington died April 13, 2014, at Kendal.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, Harry and Maude Thomas and her husband William.
Lucy T. Turpin was born on Oct. 1, 1923. She worked for the United States Navy during the war years and went on to run a successful family business called Turpin’s Outdoor Power Equipment with her late husband William V. Turpin.
She is survived by two children, Linda T. Frece of Bristow, Warren V. Turpin and his wife Lisa Turpin of Lexington; three grandchildren, Christianne V. VanDyke and her husband Joshua J. VanDyke of Bristow; Ryan V. Turpin and Brett E. Turpin of Lexington. She was the great-grandmother to Victoria and Caitlyn VanDyke of Bristow. She is also survived by two sisters, Verlie Callahan and Elene Greeson and her husband Charles.
The family will receive friends beginning at 10 a.m. with the funeral service following at 11 a.m. April 18, 2014, at Harrison Funeral Home.
