PM Girls Rout EastMont, 66-7

Thursday, Jan. 10 -- Parry McCluer High School cruised to a 66-7 victory over Eastern Montgomery in a Pioneer District girls basketball contest in Buena Vista.

Madison Dunlap scored 16 points and Emma Camden added 12 for the Fighting Blues (9-2, 5-0 Pioneer), who led 49-0 at halftime. Peyton Mohler totaled 10 points and six assists for PM, while Allison Coleman chipped in seven markers and Katie Claytor tallied six points. Makenna Smith scored five points and pulled down a game-high seven rebounds.

Annalyse McHone led the Mustangs with five points and five rebounds.

PM's game against East Rockingham in the Rock the Ribbon Roundball Shootout, originally slated for Saturday, has been postponed to Jan. 26 due to the threat of inclement weather this weekend. The Blues will return to the court at Pioneer District foe Narrows on Monday, beginning with the junior varsity match-up at 5:30 p.m.
