PM Athletes Earn Post-Season Honors

Parry McCluer High School athletes who received postseason honors in baseball, softball and soccer are as follows:

Baseball

Senior center fielder Hayden Bartley was named to the All-Conference First Team and the All-Region Second Team. Sophomore shortstop Zach Claytor was selected to the All-Conference First Team and received All-Region Honorable Mention honors.

Blues named to the All-Conference Second Team were senior third baseman Zach Higgins and sophomore outfielder Austin Moore. Receiving All-Conference Honorable Mention honors were senior pitcher and outfielder Josh Sears and sophomore pitcher and catcher Matt Kiely.

 

Softball

Senior pitcher Kelsi Martin was named to the Western Gate Conference 45 player of the year and was selected to the All-Conference First Team, the All-Region First Team and the All-State Second Team. Martin signed a letter of intent this spring to play softball at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg.

Senior third baseman Carrington Balser and senior center fielder Iesha Jackson were named to the All-Conference First Team, the All-Region First Team and the All-State Second Team. Senior left fielder Allison Clark was selected to the All-Conference First Team and received All-Region Honorable Mention honors.

Blues named to the All-Conference Second Team were senior right fielder Kiesha Jackson, junior shortstop Kate Beverley and sophomore second baseman Peyton Mohler. Receiving All-Conference Honorable Mention honors were senior first baseman Cierra Staton, senior utility player Hannah Pruett and sophomore catcher Makenna Smith.

 

Boys Soccer

Senior midfielder Cooper Braddy and sophomore defender Nick Clark were named to the All-Conference First Team. Blues selected to the All-Conference Second Team were sophomore forward Isaac Armstrong, sophomore midfielder Jacob Hamilton and freshman defender Jacob Wootten.

 

Girls Soccer

Freshman defender Autumn Hanson was named to the All-Conference First Team. A pair of sophomores, forward Celeste Doxey and midfielder Maia Baldridge, were selected to the All-Conference Second Team. Receiving All-Conference Honorable Mention Honors was sophomore defender Eme Shiraki.
